She has also published six short stories. "Tug-of-War," a psychological murder mystery, and "Mother's Mountain," a blend of sword and sorceress with mystery, are available from Smashwords.com and other online retailers. "The Drop," "Miss Aggie's Pigs," "Cheating Death," and "A Grave Development" are at King's River Life Magazine (www.kingsriverlife.com). She has set her first and second novels on hold for editing while working on a new manuscript set on a medieval planet not unlike Earth. She continues to write and submit short stories.
Claire is a member of Sisters in Crime (SinC) and their Guppy and New England chapters, as well as a member of the Salem Writers Group. She dons her writer's cap in the early morning hours before starting her work day as a regional manager for a return-to-work for people age 55 and better. Known online as Clamo88, her tagline is: Thinker | Planner | Doer.
Claire is an admitted Geek in human services, where she shifts from technologist to case manager constantly. "In the long run," says Claire, "it's all about the people." Her writing is testimony to that fact, as she crafts short stories and novels with great attention to the interactions between the characters.
Claire has received numerous professional tributes, including the Robert Restuccia Champions for Children Award, Tri-CAP's Community Service Award, Outstanding IRS Partner Award, and is a member of Silver Key Honorary Society and Sigma Epsilon Rho Honor Society. She was a founding partner in the Cyber Café @ Malden Square, which closed in 2015 after fourteen years service to the low-income community.
She is Past President/President Emeritus and past member of the Board of Governor's of Northeastern University's Alumni Association, received Northeastern's Walter E. Story Citation, and has been named to Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who of American Women.
Claire is a former adjunct faculty of Mass Bay Community College and Fisher College, and former senior lecturer at Northeastern University.
